Hammerson, one of the UK’s leading Real Estate Investment Trusts, needed to stand out from its competitors for London Wall Place: a 500,000 square foot office development that would turn a previously neglected area of central London into a prime location for City businesses. But how to market such a complex building while creating enough wow-factor to stand out against the competition? In this case, it was clear that conventional techniques weren’t going to cut it.
Our solution was to turn the traditional marketing suite into a dynamic, interactive experience that could be accessed on the move. Working with T5C and The Neighbourhood, we created a pioneering iPad app that lets occupiers explore the development from every angle, and visualise the full potential of the buildings and the surrounding area.
The app is available to download free from the iTunes store.
The app is an innovative response to the complexity of the site, and a great way for the scheme to stand out. The team has flexibility when presenting to potential occupiers, and the app has the ability to keep those interested constantly updated.
The app uses the iPad’s GPS and movement sensor functionality to bring the potential of the development to life. Used on site, the iPad becomes a window onto the future, allowing visitors to look around and see exactly how the office spaces, buildings, and surroundings will appear on completion.

A dynamic 3D model allows users to see London Wall Place from every possible viewpoint, helping them get a clear sense of each building in the development and their relationship with surrounding buildings. Users can also pinpoint specific areas of the development and explore them through detailed CGI images, animations and 360º panoramas.
The map feature of the app makes it easy for potential tenants to explore the area’s amenities. Users can view a range of different categories, including tube stops, train stations, bars, restaurants and shops. The map is constantly and automatically updated, from various live feeds.

Using the app’s floorplan section, potential occupiers can view each floor of London Wall Place in a range of different layouts and configurations. Users can also see the position of each floor on 3D model, and visualise it in more detail with panoramic views and fit-out animations.
