Located in Sheffield, Meadowhall is one of the biggest shopping centres in the UK, with loyal customers and a broad retail offer. Despite its success, Meadowhall’s image was starting to feel tired, and the centre was struggling to attract new customers. We were asked to help develop a new, revitalised brand for the shopping centre that would reflect and celebrate the important role it plays in the community and in its customers’ lives.
We reinvigorated the Meadowhall brand through a major relaunch that included TV and print advertising, a brand campaign and a refreshed identity. The creative work for the relaunch focused on a simple idea: that Meadowhall provides rewarding experiences. This idea became the foundation for a playful, highly flexible visual language for Meadowhall that communicates more directly with customers, and conveys a sense of fun, pleasure and community spirit.
