In an age of luxury hunting lodges and five-star safaris, Wandering Nomads offers something unique: the chance to explore one of the most beautiful and remote regions of Kenya on foot and in the raw. When Comic Relief approached the company to arrange a series of celebrity treks for a one-off TV special, the organisers realised this would be an unmissable opportunity to promote their service to a wider audience. Time for a new website, then.
Before we could design a website, we needed to give Wandering Nomads a strong brand identity. The resulting visual language, making use of rough textures, sepia colours and a typeface straight out of an explorer’s field book, hints at a golden age of adventure. The logo was inspired by the zig-zag patterns found in North Kenyan tribal clothing.
